What the twist?
Since 2021, Barry has been helping bars and restaurants fine-tune their systems and engineer their menus. Then one night, he met David — and what started as a quick drink turned into a deep dive on how to turn a passing guest into a regular. Two bottles of wine later, the world had been firmly put to rights.
Fast forward a few years. After cutting both their teeth managing everything from rooftop bars and Michelin star restaurants to VIP events and luxury launches, Barry asked David to join him and bring With A Twist back to life. What started as a passion project is now a mission: to combine their love for great hospitality with a genuine ambition to raise the standard of the industry.
They spent a long time asking themselves why?. Yes — it’s about a love for the industry. Yes — it’s about meeting people who care as much as they do. But at the heart of it, it’s about changing the game. They believe hospitality should be a valued, respected career to aim for. By raising the bar, they hope to inspire more talented young professionals to stick around, climb the ladder, and pave the way for the next generation.

Since meeting in 2022, David and Barry have worked together on bars, restaurants and brand activations across the UK, Ireland and Europe. Along the way, they’ve shared plenty of laughs, late nights and a mutual obsession with Tawny Port, Guinness and Italian cuisine.
